Please use the following route starting from the landmark, [Seven-Eleven, Minamikiso-cho Store along National Route 19. ]

01root-1
Turn right at the "Yakuba Iriguchi" intersection on National Route 19. The landmark is Seven-Eleven Minamikiso-cho Store. Appx 100m ahead, you will pass by the town hall.

Make a left turn at the T-intersection where you see the blue sign. Pleae follow "Tōkaku-ji Temple" direction.

Continue straight for about 700 meters. After passing through the Midono lodging area, make a right turn at the Y-junction and ascend a steep hill. Look for a signboard on the right side of the Y-junction that reads "Nakasendo" with "Yogawa Via Nojiri Station" written in the center, indicating the direction.

Continue straight for approximately 600 meters, ascending uphill. Make a left turn at the T-junction. Be cautious as the T-junction may appear to continue straight. Look for a signboard on the left side of the T-junction indicating "Nakasendo," similar to the previous landmark.

When you see the "ties Camp Ground" signboard on your left, Go diagonally to the left and continue straight uphill. You will see the management building on your left.

Tsumago-juku and Magome-juku thrived as post towns along the Nakasendo, a historical highway connecting Edo (Tokyo) and Kyoto. Tsumago-juku became the first area in Japan designated as an Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings in 1976, and it still preserves the distinct ambiance of an Edo period post town.
